Norway duster

Aker BP has completed exploration well 24/9-11 S in Production Licence 150 B (PL 150 B) offshore Norway as a dry hole.

The well was drilled around 7km west of the Volund field, 11km southwest of the Alvheim field and 230km northwest of Stavanger in the central part of the Norwegian North Sea.

The objective of the well was to prove petroleum in Upper Palaeocene reservoir rocks (the Hermod formation).

This was the first exploration well in PL 150 B.
